Nutrivo is an AI-powered app designed to offer personalized nutrition solutions. It recommends meals based on your health goals—like muscle gain or weight loss—and suggests recipes based on available ingredients.
The app also generates custom meal plans, smart shopping lists, and strategies to reduce food waste. It aims to simplify meal planning and help users stay on track with their dietary objectives effortlessly.
I hold two 15-minute meetings with the PM each week to align on product requirements and ensure a shared understanding of user flows. These meetings also serve as checkpoints to review ongoing design deliverables.
Additionally, we use Figma comments to track frame updates and clarify any uncertainties, facilitating quick and efficient product iterations.
Due to the tight product development timeline, direct UX research with potential users was not feasible. I compensated by conducting competitive analysis of successful products, quickly gathering and organizing relevant insights.
This allowed me to efficiently generate ideas tailored to our product needs. I synthesized these findings into wireframes, facilitating rapid and effective communication with the PM for streamlined decision-making.
To minimize time wastage in repetitive UI design tasks and maintain consistency, I prioritize creating a well-structured style system and utilize an auto-layout-based framework before designing high-fidelity interfaces.
Given the high uncertainty of developing a product from scratch, I also implement version control to manage iterations effectively.
Discover personalized recipes based on dietary goals, preferences, and available ingredients, with filters to quickly find the perfect match.
The tracker serves not only as a shopping list for users to record ingredients but also as a reminder for expiration dates.
The tracker will automatically recommend the necessary ingredients based on users' dietary goals or the recipes they are interested in.
Get proactive suggestions, personalized recommendations, and seamless adjustments to meet your changing needs, working side-by-side with AI.
Beyond simply passively answering questions, there will occasionally be more interactive prompts based on users' needs, and even proactive initiation of new topics suitable for them.
Not limited to conversational functions, our AI helper integrates features across various pages to provide users with maximized assistance at the right moments
Keep track of owned ingredients, log expiration dates, and receive prompts for next steps, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
Non-members have limited access to certain features, but they can still experience the app's convenience through the available functionalities, which may spark their interest in wanting more.
The app will recommend the most suitable recipes based on users' dietary goals, preferences, and remaining ingredients, allowing users to quickly find the recipes they want or need most.
AI transitions from being a passive tool to an active driver of progress in achieving nutrition goals. By eliminating the burdens of manual tracking and decision fatigue, it utilizes intelligent automation to foresee user needs, optimize dietary choices, and tailor strategies for individual preferences. This evolution leads to a transformation of eating habits, fostering a lifestyle that supports effortless healthy living and sustainable outcomes at every stage.
Project Overview and Challenges:
This was my first UI-focused work project, designed entirely from scratch. Over a short two-month period, I encountered numerous challenges. My lack of experience in UI design required me to spend extra time studying others' work for inspiration. At the same time, due to the tight schedule, I had to employ a faster and more efficient approach to UX design rather than relying on traditional in-depth methods.
Commitment to Standards and Collaboration:In a startup environment, the priority is often “function first, perfection later.” Despite this, I remained committed to my standards for both aesthetics and usability. To clearly convey and defend my design ideas, I sharpened my communication skills. I also discovered methods that suited both my personal workflow and the team’s needs, ensuring effective collaboration and quick design iterations. This experience has given me greater confidence in handling short-term, fast-turnaround projects.
